Immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Experienced Mid-Level Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet at Ryder in Williston, Vermont.

- Hourly Pay: $29.50 per hour
- Certification Bonus: $100 for each new ASE certification obtained, up to $700
- Quarterly Bonus: up to $500 every quarter (four times per year)
- Sign On Bonus: $1250 at 30 days and $1250 at 90 days
- Schedule:
Monday–Friday, weekends off - Hours:
Mid Shift 11:30 am – 8:00 pm

- High‑school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Vocational or technical certification, post‑secondary degree, or technical certifications (preferred)
- Basic tools required
- Demonstrated aptitude and experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including:
- Routine preventative maintenance (oil changes, brake, tire work)
- Two (2) years or more of a combination of classroom training and work experience in required fields (preferred)
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A (preferred)
- Must be able to obtain a CDL within 6 months after hire
- Pass a Ryder drug test
- Pass a DOT physical
- Pass a Ryder road test
- Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last three years
- Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties
- Perform standard vehicle maintenance and component inspections/repairs
- Conduct preventive maintenance
- Diagnose mechanical and electronic problems, using diagnostic computer when applicable
- Identify root cause of failures/conditions and perform repairs as required
- Replace defective components as instructed
- Perform facility maintenance duties
- Interact with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaints when assigned a task
- Utilize key functions of shop management system and electronic documentation available
- Work in accordance with all federal/provincial and corporate compliance guidelines (safety, DOT, MOT)
- Perform other support duties as required to support operations (including but not limited to Service Island support)
