Delivery Route Driver Helper

Overview

Starting wage: $20.00/hr, no previous experience required. Priority Express at 316 Engineers Drive, Williston, VT, is hiring full time route helpers to assist our drivers in delivering home furnishings and other heavy/bulky items in our company vehicles to residential customers in Central and Northern VT, Northeast NY, and Northwest NH. This is a non-driving position.

• Act as helper to the driver, assisting with unloading and delivering items to customer-designated locations.
• Serve as navigator using a GPS and call customers 30 minutes prior to arrival to confirm ETA and any special requirements.
• Support routes that typically start around 8:00am, with an average of 8 hours per day and 12 stops per route, covering 200–300 miles.
• Assist with preloading and ensure safe, efficient delivery operations in company vehicles.

• Minimum age: 18
• Criminal background check is performed
• No previous experience required
• Full-time schedule with 4- or 5-day workweeks; optional Saturday and Sunday routes available
• Typical vehicle is a 12 ft. box van; routes may involve delivering to residential customers in specified regions
