Courier​/Swing Drvr​/DOT

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles and provide courteous and efficient delivery and pick up of packages.
• Check shipments for conformance to Fed Ex features of service.
• Provide coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area.
• Perform related customer service functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED.

• Six (6) months courier experience preferred; must demonstrate area knowledge.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person.
• Good human‑relations and verbal communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred.
• Demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic‑safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions per FMCSA enforcement guidance.

• Neat appearance required for customer contact.
• Must meet and maintain qualifications outlined in federal motor‑carrier safety regulations.
• Requires medical exam per FMCSA or FAA regulations.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license per state requirements for the assigned vehicle type and maintain a good driving record as outlined in policy.
• Non‑covered safety‑sensitive position.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

• Starting Pay: $23.42 per hour.
• Work schedule:
  
  Monday‑Friday, various hours/shifts.
