This position with the Duininck Quality Control team offers the opportunity to perform material testing, support asphalt and aggregate production, and ensure quality standards are met across a variety of projects.
The Role:- Perform sampling, testing, and reporting of results for aggregates, hot mix asphalt, and compacted asphalt cores.
- Assist with laboratory work for materials from asphalt plants, paving operations, aggregate sites, and other supply locations.
- Conduct lab testing in multiple environments, including field labs, production facilities, and project sites.
- Enter results into reporting systems and communicate findings to the Quality Control team.
- Assist with duties and project support as assigned by supervisors.
- Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
- Walk, bend, kneel, lift, stretch, and sit for extended periods.
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Regularly work extended or overtime hours depending on project needs.
- Travel throughout Central & Western Minnesota, Northern Iowa, and the Eastern Dakotas.
- Organized, detail‑oriented individuals who can work independently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Math proficiency and computer software skills.
- Understanding of testing procedures and ability to record accurate data.
- Awareness of MSHA/OSHA regulations and PPE requirements.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Willingness to travel and work extended hours during the construction season.
