Field Engineer

Pay Range: $65,000 - $90,000 per year

Headquartered in Willmar, MN, Nova-Tech Engineering is a dynamic company founded in 1992 that engineers and manufactures products for over 500 commercial poultry hatcheries worldwide. The MINNWest Technology Campus houses manufacturing, engineering, and drafting teams in a single campus.

• Implement and support engineering designs through field research, testing, and validation.
• Install, troubleshoot, and support new systems and technologies at test sites and customer locations.
• Perform root cause analysis and develop solutions across teams.
• Support products throughout the full lifecycle—from concept and design through testing, implementation, and customer placement.
• Partner with customers to diagnose issues, support and explain complex issues, and coordinate testing and onsite visits.
• Build and maintain strong relationships by delivering excellent customer service and responsive technical support.
• Coordinate domestic and international travel to customers, including trip reporting and presentations, expense management, and compliance with safety and biosecurity standards.
• Develop required design and engineering documents to support purchasing, manufacturing, assembly, and of equipment.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to drive problem‑solving, creative thinking, and alignment with company mission.

The Field Engineer works closely with internal teams, customers, and industry partners to support Nova-Tech Engineering’s innovative products. The role inspects and validates new technologies, conducts early product testing in the field, analyzes results, and contributes to the problem‑solving process.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong technical skills, including CAD and/or embedded programming (C preferred). Ability to read technical documentation.
• Proven analytical and diagnostic skills to troubleshoot equipment.
• Understanding of scientific and mathematical theories for data analysis.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in Spanish preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Customer‑ and team‑oriented mindset with strong interpersonal, problem‑solving, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment.
• Valid driver’s license and passport; able to travel domestically and internationally (up to 2 weeks at a time, 12–15 weeks per year).
