The Quality Control Technician I performs field and lab tests on ready-mix concrete to ensure compliance with ACI, ASTM, and DOT standards. This is a seasonal, entry-level role that provides hands-on experience in concrete testing and mix performance evaluation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
:

• Conduct slump, air content, unit weight, and temperature tests.
• Collect and document concrete samples from production sites.
• Assist with mix adjustments to maintain quality.
• Maintain and calibrate testing equipment.
• Accurately record and report test results.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS
:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician – Grade I certification within 12 months of hire.
• Ability to obtain MnDOT Plant/Agg/Field/Strength certification within 12 months of hire.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors.
• Must be willing to work early mornings, some nights, and some weekends.
• Valid driver’s license (regularly required to drive and navigate to job sites).
• Travel as required.

PREFERRED
:

• MnDOT Plant/Agg/Field/Strength certified.

This seasonal, full-time hourly position comes with a strong benefits package including:
