The RN in the Float Pool is the basic level of professional nursing practice. She/he identifies and implements nursing interventions that have less predictable outcomes and evaluates the results of these interventions for a given patient population. A nurse at this level may be required to assume leadership responsibility.
Nurses in our Float Pool serve patients on the following units:
- ER
- ICU (those that are trained)
- Ambulatory Care Department
- Med/Surg
- Women and Children’s
Schedule
36 hours every 2 weeks
Rotating day, evening and night shifts with a mix of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts
Rotating holidays
Pay and Benefits
- Pay based on experience and degree
- Associate/Diploma in nursing starting at $40.79 per hour
- Bachelor’s in nursing starting at $41.14 per hour
- Master’s in nursing starting at $43.20 per hour
- Pay range: $40.79 - $61.76 per hour

Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current licensure in the State of Minnesota.
- Understanding of the range of treatment needed by patients of all ages in relation to the growth and development processes to include neonate, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
- New grads welcome! We offer a Nurse Residency Program, partnered with St. Cloud Hospital, for your first year along with a monthly mentorship program.
To be eligible for the hiring bonus you must be an external candidate who is hired into an eligible full time or part time benefited position. Previous Centra Care employees qualify if they have not worked for Centra Care for at least 9 months at the date of hire.
Relocation assistance requirements:
Must accept a position that offers benefits. Must currently reside more than 50 miles away from Willmar, Minnesota and relocate to within 30 milesany time before and no later than 120 days after you start work. May not have worked for Centra Care in the past nine months.
