Shift Lead – Walgreens
We are looking for a dedicated Shift Lead to manage store operations and provide exceptional customer service.
Base Pay Range$17.00/hr - $20.00/hr
This role will remain open until filled.
Responsibilities- Open and close the store in the absence of store management, including all required system start‑ups, cash handling, and ensuring the floor and stockroom are ready for the business day; also responsible for opening the back door for deliveries.
- Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provide change as requested to cash registers.
- Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, greeting customers, offering assistance, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive experience.
- Assist with and coach team members on warehouse and vendor ordering processes, opening vendor deliveries, and managing related sales on the assigned cash register.
- Review order exceptions, assist with reverse logistics, and evaluate and develop displays, promotions, and seasonal merchandise.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and on‑hand quantities across all departments, stockroom, and overstock locations.
- Ensure the Outdate program is followed, manage basic department pricing and daily price changes, and display proper signage for accurate product pricing.
- Assist with bookkeeping activities, including cash reports, cash counts, ledgers, and bill payments as needed.
- Maintain an orderly store condition, request repairs as needed, and support interior and exterior maintenance.
- Separate food items, manage product placement, and perform stock rotation using first‑in, first‑out for consumable items.
- Keep working knowledge of store systems, equipment, and compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
- Assist at Pharmacy out window and conduct bag checks of team members before leaving the store.
- Comply with all company policies, maintain respectful relationships with coworkers, and complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
- Attend training and complete PPLs requested by the Manager.
- Serve as a liaison between management and non‑management team members, communicating assigned tasks when management is absent.
- Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.
- One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Knowledge of store inventory control.
- Consideration of qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
- Valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
