Apprentice Summer - Willmar, MN

Eligibility

This Summer Internship opportunity is available to First‑Year Technical College students pursuing an electrical career path.

• Installation of electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment.
• Measure, cut and bend conduit.
• Trace out short circuits in wiring.
• Make minor electrical repairs.
• Maintain tools and equipment.
• Work with the Foreman to set daily goals.
• Perform work in accordance with the National Electrical Code in a workmanlike manner.

• Hold and maintain the state apprentice license.
• Have an OSHA‑10 hour Construction Certification before beginning work on a site or the pre‑fabrication workshop.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Attend continuing education classes to maintain apprentice license.

• Enrollment in/completion of an electrical trade school program.
• Knowledge of hand/power tools, how to read meters and blueprints.
