Accounts Payable Clerk

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to support daily payables operations for a growing team in Willoughby, Ohio. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable handling invoice entry, coding, and payment support in a steady-volume environment. The role also includes reviewing expense activity for accuracy and helping ensure approvals and processing steps are completed correctly.

This is a direct hire position with flexible in office business hours.

Responsibilities:

• Process 400+ vendor invoices each week, ensuring entries are accurate and completed on time.

• Assign correct accounting codes to invoices and enter payment details into the accounts payable workflow.

• Review purchase documentation using three-way matching to confirm invoices align with receipts and purchase orders.

• Assist with payment activities, including preparing check runs and supporting wire transactions.

• Audit employee expense submissions to verify coding, approvals, and adherence to established workflow steps.

• Monitor invoice and expense status to help resolve delays, discrepancies, or incomplete approvals.

• Maintain organized payable records and support efficient day-to-day transaction processing.

• Contribute to additional accounting tasks such as accounts receivable or cash application support when cross-training opportunities arise.
