Noon Aide Monitor

Overview

Noon Aide Monitor – Willoughby-Eastlake City School District

• Exercise student supervision in lunchroom or on playground, or in other areas as assigned by the principal.
• Assist as needed in lunchroom dispensing food/drinks and in cleaning up areas which may constitute a safety threat.
• Report behaviors and incidents. Carry out other tasks as the principal may assign, consistent with the role of noon-aide.

• School Year
• $14.00/hr (sick time, personal days & paid holidays)
• 5 days per week (Mon-Fri)
• 13.75 hours per week
• 2.75 hours per day (10:55am-1:40pm)

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Requires BCI/FBI background check.
• The Ohio Department of Education requires a one-year student monitor permit ($25.00 online fee). (Application completed during the hiring process.)
• Experience with supervision of children in public or private sector desirable.
• Training in first aid and CPR desirable but not required.

• Ability to learn job guidelines and apply them daily; knowledge of school rules and basic concepts/techniques of child discipline.
• Ability to get along with other noon-aides, parents and teachers; knowledge of basic structure of public education.

• Concern for children’s health, safety and learning. Patience in dealing with children’s problems and behavior. Willingness to take training programs as the district may provide. Punctuality, dependability, good health and moral character. Discretion and good judgment. Tolerance for inclement weather.

• BCI/FBI background check administered at the Board of Education upon hire ($47.25 fee).
