Quality Manager

Bowden Manufacturing is seeking ahands-on Quality Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, precision machining environment. In this role, you willbridge Quality, Engineering, and Production to strengthen manufacturing processes, ensure compliance withAS
9100, ISO 9001, and ITAR.

• Lead, mentor, and develop Quality Technicians and Inspectors, fostering accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
• Partner closely with Engineering and Production to integrate quality engineering principles into product design, machining, and inspection processes.
• Own and continuously improve Bowden’s Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance withAS
  9100, ISO 9001, and ITARrequirements.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to eliminate nonconformances and strengthen process controls.
• Lead internal, customer, and third-party audits; ensure timely and effective closure of audit findings.
• Analyze scrap, rework, and process performance data to identify trends and execute sustainable improvement initiatives.
• Support First Article Inspections (FAI), process validations, and customer documentation requirements.
• Ensure calibration, control, and proper use of all inspection and measurement equipment.
• Provide technical support for tooling, fixturing, and inspection methods to improve efficiency, repeatability, and part quality.
• Serve as a key liaison with customer quality and engineering teams, ensuring clear communication, responsiveness, and technical alignment.

• U.S. Citizenship required(due to ITAR regulations).
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related technical field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
• 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Quality Leadership within a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with ZEISS CMM machines and Calypso software
• Working knowledge ofAS
  9100 and ISO 9001, including audit participation or coordination.
• Strong understanding ofCNC machining processes, GD&T, and blueprint interpretation.
• Experience using quality tools such asFMEA, 8D, SPC, and root cause analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop team members while remaining hands-on.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic production environment.

Full-time, first-shift position. In-Office 5 days a week.

Standard hours:
Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Occasional overtime may be required.
