Advanced Practice Provider Trauma and Acute Care Surgery

Description

Seeking an Advanced Practice Provider for Trauma and Acute Care Surgery at UH Lake Medical Center. The APP will collaborate with Trauma Surgeons on trauma consults, medically manage admitted trauma patients with the potential for first assist operative time. The schedule is 12 hr. shifts rotating days, nights, weekends and holidays.

NPs must be acute care and willing to obtain RNFA. New grads welcome to apply!

The Advanced Practice Provider is responsible for providing quality care for patients and increasing patient access and satisfaction. Standard tasks to be performed by an Advanced Practice Provider as specified by the Ohio State Board of Medicine or Nursing and UH entity specific Medical Bylaws.

• Contributes to the educational development of staff, patients, family and self
• Demonstrates progressive leadership and effective management
• Provides education through role modeling and in-services to meet identified learning needs and to promote professionalism
• Advances own professional development through self-directed learning, continuing education and participation in peer review

• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
