Responsibilities
- The call center specialist is responsible for coordinating aspects of the admissions process, including efficient and effective handling of inquiry calls, processing referrals for possible admission, and communicating with referral sources and customers who present for assessment. Additional responsibilities include insurance verification, patient registration, vitals, wanding, patient observations, scheduling evaluations, admission processing, bed board monitoring, belongings searches, and other non-clinical duties as assigned by the admissions leadership team.

Qualifications- Education: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, mental health, or a related field preferred, or an LPN license.
- Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in human services, social services, psychiatric/mental health, or a call center setting, performing administrative duties including crisis intervention, telephone triage, and managing inquiry calls with a customer-service focus.
- Knowledge: Ability to interface with customers in a calm, professional manner; knowledge of crisis and behavior management; excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask; ability to navigate computer systems and use faxing and copying. Data entry and computer experience is preferred.
- Work Environment: Indoor work environment with long periods of sitting, proximity to people, and potential exposure to distracting noises.
