Overview
Windsor Laurelwood Behavioral Health is a 159‑bed facility located in Willoughby, OH. The facility offers psychiatric, detoxification/rehabilitation, and dual diagnosis treatment through inpatient services for adolescents and adults.
We are inviting applications for the Nursing Educator role to join our Nursing Team.
Responsibilities- The Nursing Educator assists the Chief Nursing Officer in evaluating, reviewing, designing, and implementing hospital training events for RN/LPN/MHT staff.
- On an as‑needed basis, conducts patient nursing assessments.
- Participates in Treatment Team meetings as required.
Job Responsibilities
- Provides ongoing nursing education to staff on topics related to performance improvement initiatives, Joint Commission standards, and state or federal regulatory requirements.
- Maintains a complete knowledge of crisis intervention techniques, restraint and seclusion procedures, and prepares and presents training events as directed for Nursing Services.
- Regularly facilitates and/or conducts required training classes with all Nursing Services staff.
- Recommends improvements to training programs as needed or as identified.

Licensure: Active and unrestricted Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license or LPN.
Education/
Experience:
Degree from an accredited nursing program, MSN preferred. 1-3 years of relevant experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting with teenage and adult patient populations.
