Sales & Use Tax Analyst

Base Pay Range

$60,000.00/yr - $70,000.00/yr

Employment Type: Exempt, Full-Time

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (4 days onsite / 1 day remote)

A large, nationally operating organization is seeking a Sales & Use Tax Analyst to join its corporate tax function. This role supports sales and use tax compliance across multiple entities and jurisdictions and partners closely with internal stakeholders on audits, research, and special projects.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment with evolving business needs.

• Prepare and file Sales and Use Tax returns for the corporate entity and its subsidiaries.
• Research, interpret, and apply sales and use tax regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
• Prepare and maintain city and state business licenses for corporate entities.
• Support tax managers with audits, documentation requests, and ad hoc tax projects.
• Assist with tax-related research and compliance initiatives as business needs evolve.

• 3+ years of relevant tax experience, with a focus on sales and use tax preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience with large ERP systems preferred (Oracle/People Soft a plus).
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines.
• Effective communicator with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
• Comfortable adapting to change in a fast-paced corporate environment.
• Willingness to work occasional evening hours during peak tax periods.
• Self-starter who can work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
