Responsible for supporting the Store Manager regarding all aspects of the retail store, including sales, customer service, operations, human resources, training, visual merchandising, and loss prevention.

• Customer Service:
  Ensures each customer receives the highest level of customer service.
• Human Resources:
  Notifies the Store Manager of hiring needs and floor coverage shortages, assists in finding new employees, communicates the company discount policy, controls the payroll budget, schedules staff efficiently, follows progressive discipline procedures, documents corrective actions, stays aware of loss prevention, shares ideas from staff and customers, understands details of upcoming promotions, makes deposits correctly, follows opening and closing procedures, reconciles the cash drawer, issues refunds, documents petty cash, ensures merchandise accuracy, conducts spot checks, keeps displays clean and current, maintains the selling floor per company guidelines, and manages daily activity of the sales floor, backroom, and cash register area.

• Knowledge of the competition and their pricing.
• Strong knowledge of POS systems.

• Ability to work varied days and hours.
• Ability to climb ladders.
• Ability to occasionally push, pull, and lift more than 25 lbs.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One or more years of store management experience in a retail environment.
