Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant position involves various responsibilities related to audits, reviews, compilations of financial statements, and tax preparation for privately held businesses, individuals, estates/trusts, and nonprofit organizations. The role requires performing fieldwork, documenting results, participating in continuing education, working individually and as part of a team, and mastering relevant computer applications. Effective communication, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines are essential.

• Conduct fieldwork and document findings for audits, reviews, and compilations of financial statements of privately held businesses and nonprofit organizations.
• Prepare tax returns for businesses, individuals, estates/trusts, and nonprofit organizations.
• Engage in both internal and external continuing education to enhance professional knowledge and skills.
• Collaborate as an individual and team member on various engagements.
• Maintain personal organization and regularly update supervisors/team members on job progress.
• Learn and master the wide variety of computer applications utilized by our firm.
• Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
• Aptitude for meeting deadlines and effectively managing workload under pressure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
