The Opportunity

TJT is seeking a dynamic Senior Tax Associate to join our tax team full-time to play a key role in delivering industry-focused tax services to middle market clients. This is an exciting opportunity to become a trusted business advisor while working closely with firm leadership to serve clients and contribute directly to the firm’s continued growth and success. The ideal candidate will bring at least two years of public accounting experience
, along with a strong foundation in diverse accounting practices and a solid grasp of financial statement interpretation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately prepare and review returns for partnerships, S-corporations, and high-net-worth individuals, ensuring compliance with current tax laws and regulations
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients across industries such as real estate, construction, hospitality, and manufacturing—providing proactive tax planning strategies and identifying opportunities for tax savings.
  • Build long-term relationships with clients through regular communication, responsiveness, and a deep understanding of their business goals and challenges.
  • Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to junior associates and interns; review their work for accuracy and completeness while fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Work closely with partners and senior managers to support client engagements, contribute to business development efforts, and identify opportunities for process improvement and service expansion.
  • Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work while adhering to firm standards and deadlines.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in public accounting
  • Proficiency in financial statement interpretation and diverse accounting knowledge
  • Strong technical tax expertise
  • Experience with CCH Axcess Tax and Engagement trial balance software
  • CPA certification or active pursuit of CPA designation
