The Procurement Expeditor role is a high-visibility, high-impact, globally integrated position supporting procurement agreements and transactional work for Research & Development sites across North America. This position involves a wide range of complex tasks that must be managed efficiently to ensure client, supplier, and buyer needs are consistently met. The ideal candidate is a dynamic and motivated problem solver who will serve as the primary interface for inquiries, purchase orders, invoices, purchasing documents, and all other procurement-related service needs.
Responsibilities- Serve as the key contact for day-to-day needs of the Research & Development team and suppliers, applying discretionary judgment to resolve issues in the absence of the R&D buyer.
- Respond promptly to critical delivery, supply, and invoicing issues and resolve them independently without leadership direction.
- Prepare, negotiate, manage, and coordinate agreements supporting the procurement of materials and services.
- Act as the buyer of record with execution authority.
- Negotiate terms including (but not limited to) terms and conditions, lump sums, labor rates, mark-ups, and payment terms.
- Create white paper agreements.
- Serve as a resource to new buyers regarding S&L policies and procedures and manage all end-to-end processes once negotiations conclude.
- Analyze orders to ensure correct terms and conditions are applied; coordinate with Legal as needed during supplier negotiations.
- Monitor agreement expiration dates and collaborate with buyers to determine whether agreements should be extended, canceled, or recreated.
- Partner with supply chain and/or contract administrators to ensure proper implementation of agreements at the site level.
- Independently assess workload, set priorities, and adjust as needed to ensure uninterrupted supply and exceptional client, supplier, and buyer satisfaction.
- Initiate, develop, and implement process improvements; create SOPs and training materials as needed.
- Participate in global standardization teams and contribute to KPI improvement initiatives, including ISO 9001 audits.

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; strong time-management skills to prioritize tasks and meet goals.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and procurement systems such as SAP.

- Degree in Supply Chain or a related field is preferred but not required.
