Graphic Design Program Coordinator

Job Description:
The Graphic Design Program Coordinator is a full-time faculty member responsible for providing creative vision and support to Delaware College of Art and Design's Graphic Design program, including curricular development and delivery. DCAD seeks a dynamic design educator with experience in multi-media asset creation informed by user experience design strategies supporting foundational web and app development.

In addition to teaching a 3:3 load, the coordinator will contribute expertise to graphic design course and program assessment, participate in department recruitment activities, and engage in co-curricular activities to enhance student engagement and professional development.

Job Responsibilities:

• Teach a 3:3 course load in graphic design.
• Contribute to curriculum development and assessment.
• Participate in department recruitment and co-curricular activities.
• Support student engagement and professional growth.

Qualifications Required:

• MFA in Graphic Design, Digital/Interactive Media, or related field.
• Successful professional practice in print and interactive media design.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications supporting print and web/app design.
• Evidence of industry needs and opportunities via professional portfolio.
• Minimum of 3 years collegiate teaching experience.

Qualifications Desired:

• Management or creative direction experience, or experience as a faculty member or department head.
• Understanding of coding languages relevant to web and app design.
• Knowledge of marketing, communication strategies, and multimedia digital asset creation.
• Understanding of assessment in course and program development.

Benefits and Salary:

Ten-month position, salary $48,000–$60,000, with benefits including 403(b), medical, dental, and vision insurance.
