The Student Outreach Specialist will play a key role in supporting high school students on their journey to college and career success. The member will serve as a bridge between students and critical resources, ensuring they are informed, engaged, and supported through every step of the college application process.
Responsibilities- The Student Outreach Coordinator will actively engage students through phone calls, texts, emails, and in-person conversations to encourage participation in workshops, events, and mentoring opportunities.
- Share timely reminders about important deadlines for college applications, financial aid, and scholarships, while also providing one-on-one and group support to guide students through applications, FAFSA, and other postsecondary planning steps.
- The member will track student engagement, follow up with those needing extra encouragement, and assist in planning and facilitating workshops on college readiness, financial literacy, and career exploration.
- In collaboration with staff, they will help design outreach strategies to boost student involvement and will serve as a positive, approachable resource for students as they transition from high school to their next chapter.
