These contract positions run from late August 2026 through early June 2027, providing a chance to foster growth and learning throughout the academic year.
Your specific school site can be tailored to your interests, whether you prefer working with elementary learners, middle schoolers exploring new academic territory, or high school students preparing for their next steps. Schedules generally run Monday through Friday, with 35 hours per week and site-specific hours to fit the age group you serve.
KeyQualifications:
- Valid Delaware Special Education Teacher license (required)
- Demonstrated experience working with children or adolescents in a school setting
- Strong understanding of IEPs, differentiated instruction, and best practices for special education
- Skill in building rapport with students, families, and collaborative teaching teams
- Excellence in communication, organization, and classroom management
- Deliver individualized and group instruction in accordance with students IEPs
- Develop, implement, and assess lesson plans tailored to diverse learning needs
- Monitor student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate with general education teachers, counselors, and other service providers
- Foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment for all students
