Hourly Range $15-$21 . Final compensation is based on factors such as skills, qualifications, and experience.
Activity & Program Coordination- Manage the year-round activities calendar, including confirming bookings and reservations and actively participating in scheduled activities.
- Follow pre-planned schedules and arrive on time to prepare and set up activities.
- Organize and lead on-site activities, including book readings, crafts, game nights, exercise classes, and cultural enrichment activities.
- Encourage resident and visitor participation in activities and programs.
- Assist the Site Case Manager with social events and skills-development programs.
- Assist with workshops and meetings.
- Organize and manage off-site excursions, including medical appointments, museum visits, book readings, and other scheduled outings.
- Ensure off-site activities provide a safe, organized, and enjoyable environment for participants.
- Encourage resident and visitor participation in appropriate off-site activities.
- Always guard and protect residents’ safety and welfare.
- Acquaint participants with program rules, activities, daily schedules, and routines.
- Report all injuries immediately and complete all required incident and/or injury documentation.
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment during all activities, programs, and excursions.
- Ensure all equipment and supplies are properly used, maintained, and stored.
- Prepare activity spaces and necessary materials prior to scheduled programs.
- Support the overall readiness and organization of activities, workshops, meetings, and special events.
- Collaborate effectively with other staff to support residents, activities, and overall program operations.
- Meet and maintain all applicable YMCA standards.
- Attend and complete all required staff training.
- Complete required staff paperwork and documentation accurately and timely.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to serve a diverse community.
- High School Diploma or GED Certificate
- 3 years’ work experience
- CPR & First Aid certified within 2 months of hire.
- Flexible schedule around the holidays, as seasonal entertainment can significantly uplift the spirits of our residents.
- Experience in recreation as well as an energetic, positive attitude.
- Established community contacts and network for resources for activities
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage and prioritize multiple, often competing, priorities.
- Multi-lingual skills
- Prior experience working in a residence setting
