Responsibilities- Provide individualized instruction and support to students in a self-contained middle school classroom
- Develop and implement instruction aligned with students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Utilize differentiated teaching strategies to address individual academic, behavioral, and developmental needs
- Apply ABA-based strategies and appropriate behavioral supports when working with students with Autism
- Monitor student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and adjust instruction as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, specialists, and school support staff to promote student success
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers regarding student progress and needs
- Valid state teaching credential/certification in Special Education
- Experience working with middle school students in a Special Education setting
- Experience working in a self-contained classroom
- Experience supporting students with Autism is specifically required
- ABA experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of individualized instruction and behavior-support strategies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively with students with diverse learning and behavioral needs
- Full-time, 1.0 FTE school-based opportunity
