Arcadis is seeking a Senior Water Engineer to be based in Philadelphia, PA or local area (Wilmington, DE; East Windsor, NJ).

You will act as a technical resource in the area of water quality and water/wastewater treatment, conveyance and storage to support our local design teams in planning and design of water and wastewater improvement infrastructure projects. Familiarity with Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Water Department standards and regulations would be preferred.

• Support activities that ensure compliance with applicable state and federal environmental rules and regulations related to drinking water and wastewater treatment systems.
• Conduct routine inspections, prepare detailed inspection reports, write permits, and develop engineer plans, specifications, and reports.
• Address complex issues involving technical engineering and construction challenges, leveraging expertise to deliver effective and innovative solutions.
• Conduct technical research related to water and wastewater treatment systems, analyze utility best practices, and assess the impact of upcoming regulations.
• Review and evaluate compliance methodologies at facilities, offer constructive feedback and creative strategies to reduce risk of non-compliance.
• Prepare plans and specifications, basis of design reports, and technical memoranda for facility upgrades.
• Provide site inspection services during construction activities, assist with construction management, and support contract administration to ensure successful project execution.

• 7 years of engineering experience focused on water and wastewater infrastructure design.
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil/ Environmental/ Structural Engineering.
• Basic knowledge of ArcGIS and AutoCAD software.

• 10 years of engineering experience focused on water and wastewater planning and design.
• Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to drinking water and wastewater system compliance.
• PE License.
• Familiarity with Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Water Department standards and regulations.
• Structural engineering experience or background.
