Responsibilities
  • Design HVAC systems, investigate, troubleshoot, and solve a wide variety of HVAC engineering issues.
  • Develop integrated HVAC systems in collaboration with others, including Control room HVAC, Laboratory HVAC, and Chilled water system design.
  • Provide support in planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating detailed design phases of all aspects of facility engineering work.
  • Perform design calculations and develop detailed system designs.
  • Prepare technical specifications for HVAC equipment and engineering studies.
  • Assist senior engineers with reviews of existing facilities to propose upgrades and replacements, and present findings and recommendations to clients and peers.
  • Familiarity with ASHRAE and current HVAC industry codes and standards.
Qualifications
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-approved program is required.
  • 10+ years of HVAC system and chilled water system design experience for commercial, laboratory, and industrial facilities.
  • Proficiency in TRACE 700 (or equivalent), 3D+, AutoCAD, and Micro Station; ability to create design flow diagrams, P&IDs.
  • Prior knowledge of relevant codes and standards applicable to HVAC and ventilation systems.
  • Preparing HVAC studies and coordinating detailed design phases.
Valued But Not Required
  • ASHRAE membership.
  • PE license (preferred).
Work Arrangement

This position is based on a hybrid work schedule and requires in-office work 3 days per week.
