Senior Roadway Construction Inspector

RK&K is seeking a dedicated and strong Senior Roadway Inspector for a wide range of Construction projects in Wilmington and Georgetown, Delaware. The ideal Leader will have at least five years inspection experience including roadway and structure construction methods, materials, standards and specifications. • Provide construction management supervision and leadership to other inspectors
• Inspection and monitoring of roadway structures to ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Fully engage in solving problems to provide technical evaluation and sound solutions while independently coordinating and directing all phases of construction inspection of complex projects
• Record‑keeping, scheduling and reporting as required
• Ability to communicate effectively across different platforms with project management, clients, stakeholders, and contractors
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products

• High School diploma or equivalent
• At least five (5) years of roadway/building inspection experience for construction methods, materials, standards and specifications
• Construction project management experience
• Experience with recruiting and placing CEI staff with municipal clients
• Understanding of QA/QC development and execution process
• DelDOT Material Certifications
• Knowledge of materials, standards, and specifications related to state highway projects and facilities
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Application of mathematical formulas and engineering principles
• Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft Office products
• Valid driver's license and favorable driving record
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
