Job Description

To support this mission, Syngenta's Tax Management Team is seeking a Non-Income Tax Manager in Wilmington, DE. This role will be responsible for the preparation and review of sales and use tax returns.
Accountabilities- Be a valued member of the tax team with responsibility for US indirect taxes.
- Oversee indirect tax operations for the US.
- Prepare and review property tax filings.
- Manage sales tax audits.
- Manage property tax audits.
- Proactively monitor tax law changes.
- Assist in the design and evolution of US indirect tax function after recent implementation of consistent modern tax tools.
- Proactively manage internal relationships to support business growth.
- Ability to thrive in a small team environment.
- Flexible, open to challenges, and willing to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
- Extremely organized and able to handle multiple projects at a time.
- Thorough understanding of sales and use tax laws and operations, as well as property tax laws.
- Working knowledge of accounting principles.
- Prior experience in the preparation and review of sales and use tax returns and property tax returns.
- Prior experience in managing audits.
- Strong analytical abilities and the ability to make decisions and recommendations.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Proficiency with various computer applications, including MS Excel and MS Word.
- Proficiency with specialized tax application software, such as One Source Indirect Compliance (Sabrix) and One Source Property Tax, or similar software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
