Global Finance Senior Specialist – Du Pont

As a Global Finance Senior Specialist, you will support both Commercial and Operations & Supply Chain teams through strategic financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting. This role combines tactical execution with global exposure and requires onsite presence in Wilmington, DE, four days a week, with one remote day. Candidates must live within a commutable distance to Wilmington.
Job SummaryThe Senior Specialist will provide financial support to the Business Finance Leader and business management teams, ensuring accurate, timely, and actionable insight into business performance and forecast. The role includes oversight of monthly Integrated Business Planning, budgeting, and variance analysis, as well as maintaining integrity and compliance across financial statements.
PrimaryDuties & Responsibilities
- Lead the creation of business objectives, ensuring timely and insightful analysis of performance and forecast.
- Manage all financial aspects within the monthly IBP process, owning the Global Integrated Reconciliation Step and contributing to Monthly Business Reviews.
- Provide monthly outlooks and variance analysis across key areas, including Commercial input and Operations & Supply Chain cost structure.
- Prepare and communicate monthly results, maintaining accuracy while driving standardization and simplification.
- Oversee in‑scope financial budgeting for the annual Strategy Review and Execution Review.
- Partner with Business Global Operating Teams to deliver financial support, reporting, and clear cost accountability with robust processes and alignment.
- Monitor Plant Fixed Cost (PFC) and Variable Cost outlooks, delivering holistic trend analysis and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to meet purchase order targets, focusing on NWC metrics and liquidity management.
- Perform ad hoc financial modeling and investment proposals, guiding decisions to maximize business value.
- Ensure integrity of financial results across all statements.
- Maintain adherence to financial policies, including SOX compliance for business finance processes.
- Excel in a cross‑cultural environment and drive the organization to maximize long‑term business profitability and growth.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a Technical Field.
- 5+ years’ experience in Finance, with background in business analysis, financial/decision modeling, manufacturing, and supply chain; strong product‑costing understanding preferred.
- Demonstrated financial acumen and strong analytical competency.
- Knowledge of DuPont financial, accounting, and internal control policies and standards.
- Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, Business Warehouse, and Tableau.
- Strong interpersonal, emotional intelligence, and influencing skills to align business leadership and inspire trust.
- Experience managing projects with cross‑functional teams, balancing multiple priorities with high accuracy.
- Excellent communication and global collaboration skills, capable of influencing results across time‑zone barriers.
- Ability to simplify complex financial situations and articulate financial impacts in a business context.
- Comfortable in a fast‑paced, dynamic, and uncertain business environment.
