The Tax Manager will oversee multiple engagements, prepare and review complex tax returns across a variety of entities, resolve technical tax issues, and provide proactive tax planning while developing tax staff and strengthening client relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a portfolio of tax engagements, delivering strategic planning, consulting, and compliance solutions.
- Prepare and review complex tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, C-corporations, S-corporations, partnerships, estates, trusts, and nonprofit organizations.
- Review team work products for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to budgets.
- Collaborate with managers and partners to maintain and grow client relationships.
- Mentor, coach, and develop tax staff at multiple levels.
- Resolve technical tax issues and respond to requests from IRS and state tax authorities.
- Ensure timely completion of all client deliverables.
- Identify additional client needs and recommend relevant firm services.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Active CPA license required.
- 5+ years of recent public accounting tax experience.
- Strong knowledge of IRS regulations and tax authority standards.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
- Proficiency with tax software and strong overall technical skills.
