Position: Tax Manager (Hybrid)

Tax Manager - Wilmington, DE (Hybrid)

Position Overview

The Tax Manager will oversee multiple engagements, prepare and review complex tax returns across a variety of entities, resolve technical tax issues, and provide proactive tax planning while developing tax staff and strengthening client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of tax engagements, delivering strategic planning, consulting, and compliance solutions.
  • Prepare and review complex tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, C-corporations, S-corporations, partnerships, estates, trusts, and nonprofit organizations.
  • Review team work products for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to budgets.
  • Collaborate with managers and partners to maintain and grow client relationships.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop tax staff at multiple levels.
  • Resolve technical tax issues and respond to requests from IRS and state tax authorities.
  • Ensure timely completion of all client deliverables.
  • Identify additional client needs and recommend relevant firm services.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Active CPA license required.
  • 5+ years of recent public accounting tax experience.
  • Strong knowledge of IRS regulations and tax authority standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
  • Proficiency with tax software and strong overall technical skills.
