The Fiscal Associate II works within the Department of Services for Children, Youth and Family's Fiscal Accounting Services team, handling the recording, reviewing, and processing of financial transactions in the State's accounting system. The role involves entering and updating financial data, verifying transaction classifications, preparing financial reports, and assisting with complex support work under general supervision. This is a transactional position that also supports higher‑level fiscal staff and may include payroll processing.
Keyqualifications:
- Six months' experience processing accounting, auditing, or payroll transactions following applicable laws, rules, and regulations
- Six months' experience determining compliance of financial transactions with required documentation and codes
- Six months' experience preparing financial reports and presenting financial data from multiple sources
- Proficiency with automated information systems and computer software for data entry and financial reporting
- Ability to communicate effectively and deliver customer service across diverse populations
