Job Description

The MRI technologist position is for the North Brandywine Road office. We are a busy MRI dept where we perform a variety of general MRI’s, mostly orthopedic cases, including spines.

Responsibilities
  • The MRI Technologist must demonstrate professional radiological imaging skills to assure quality management of all aged patients (adolescent through geriatric).
  • The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, MRI safety, quality control, patient satisfaction, efficiency and the adherence to all American College of Radiology guidelines.
  • Responsible for producing quality MRI imaging, obtaining medical history, following pre-set protocols, while maintaining highest quality of patient care and safety.
  • Must be able to communicate to patients the nature of the exam and relieve their anxiety.
  • Must demonstrate excellent positioning; imaging technique, imaging equipment knowledge, quality control and infection control.
Job Requirements

A. Job Knowledge and Skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of general anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.
  • High level of cross sectional anatomy, preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of MRI technology.
  • Strong and interactive communication skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, problem solving and the ability to make sound decisions.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently with exceptional attention to detail.
B. Education
  • Graduate of school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Current radiography license in State of Delaware
  • ARRT registered: board certification in MRI
  • Current BLS Certification, Required
C. Experience
  • Previous MR experience highly preferred
