Epic Care Order Entry Analyst

Join Christiana Care to support the transition to our new Epic EHR system. The role involves design, build, configuration, testing, implementation, and optimization of the Epic Care Order Entry module and related functionalities.

Base Pay Range

$85,862.40 / yr – $ / yr

Responsibilities
  • Lead implementation and configuration of Epic Care Order Entry module.
  • Conduct workflow analysis to identify improvement areas.
  • Customize module to meet clinical and operational requirements.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans.
  • Ensure delivery of Order Transmittal and Smart Forms for real‑time documentation.
  • Provide training and support to physicians, nurses, and administrative staff.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve module issues with IT and clinical teams.
  • Create and maintain documentation of configurations, workflows, and training.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and project managers.
  • Hold weekly communications on deliverable status, risks, budget, and milestones.
  • Work with Epic representatives and end users to meet business needs.
  • Utilize best practices and methodologies for Epic implementations and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, or related field (or higher). High school diploma with 5 years related experience may be considered.
  • 2‑3 years of experience with Epic systems or similar EHR platform.
  • Epic certification in Order Entry, Provider Documentation, or Infection Control preferred.
  • Must obtain Epic certification within 3 weeks of completing mandatory training if not already certified.
Compensation

Annual compensation range: $85,862.40 – $. Actual salary depends on qualifications and experience.
