Overview

Join to apply for the User Experience Designer role at Epic
. This position is based on our campus in Madison, WI, and requires relocation to the area. We recruit nationally and provide financial relocation assistance.

As a UX Designer, you will act as the lead experience and visual designer for several development teams, setting the direction for joyful design. You will meet with end-users to understand their needs, research workflows, and observe our applications in context. You will then work with developers to design intuitive, beautiful applications with sound information architecture. Throughout the design process, you will demonstrate ideas with sketches, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the experience and visual design for multiple development teams
  • Meet with end-users to understand needs and workflows
  • Research user contexts and design intuitive, usable interfaces
  • Collaborate with developers to implement information architecture and visual design
  • Create artifacts across the design spectrum: sketches, wireframes, high-fidelity mocks, and interactive prototypes
Qualifications
  • A solid portfolio demonstrating strong user experience and visual design skills
  • Education or experience in user-centered design techniques
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Relocation to the Madison, WI area (reimbursed)
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
  • COVID-19 vaccination
  • Available to start before June 2026
