Contract:

W2 Only (No C2C/1099) Duration: 12 Months About the Role

We are seeking an accomplished and influential Scrum Master to guide our most critical enterprise-level software development initiatives. This senior role demands a strategic leader who can seamlessly blend deep Agile coaching expertise with disciplined project management principles. You will be responsible for facilitating the success of multiple, complex project teams, removing enterprise-level impediments, and ensuring the predictable, high-quality delivery of solutions that drive business value.

The ideal candidate is a servant-leader with over a decade of experience, capable of mentoring teams, influencing stakeholders, and optimizing delivery processes at scale.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a dedicated Scrum Master for 1-2 high-impact teams, facilitating all Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums, Reviews, Retrospectives) with a focus on maturity and continuous improvement. Instill Agile values and principles across the team and organization.
  • Manage the full project lifecycle for complex, multi-functional initiatives using a hybrid approach. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, charters, budgets, and timelines. Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate risks and dependencies that span across teams and departments.
  • Coach and mentor cross-functional teams of 10-15 members (Developers, Business Analysts, QA) toward self-organization and high performance. Shield teams from distractions and foster an environment of collaboration, transparency, and accountability.
  • Utilize a strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) models to ensure projects adhere to both Agile practices and necessary traditional governance controls. Track and communicate team velocity, sprint progress, and release forecasts using data-driven metrics.
  • Act as the primary liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders. Tailor and deliver clear, concise communications—from detailed status reports to executive presentations—managing expectations and ensuring strategic alignment.
  • Leverage Azure Dev Ops (preferred) or Jira expertly for backlog management, sprint planning, and reporting. Utilize the Microsoft Office Suite for comprehensive documentation and analysis. Champion the effective use of project and portfolio management tools to enhance visibility and decision-making.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • 12 years of relevant industry experience

  • Agile certification required (e.g.,
PMI-ACP, DASM, CSM, CSPO, SAFe Agilist, or equivalent

  • Solid understanding of SDLC models and extensive, practical knowledge of both Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and traditional (Waterfall) project management principles and practices
. Ability to apply the right approach for the context.
  • Proven leadership and people management experience guiding multi-function teams of at least 10-15 members
. Excellent project management skills, including scope, schedule, and risk management.

, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in an Associate Director-level role or external equivalent
    .
  • Multiple or advanced Agile certifications (e.g.,
    CSP-SM, SAFe Practitioner/Consultant
    ).
  • Hands-on experience with a Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tool (e.g., Planview, Clarity, Service Now).
