Senior IT Advisor

Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced technology leader to guide and support modernization initiatives across multiple divisions. This role involves recommending IT improvements and assisting leadership in implementing strategic technology transformations.

The ideal candidate will have mastery of multiple technology disciplines, combined with strong leadership and strategic planning skills. This position requires the ability to develop and execute long‑term IT strategies that impact organizational efficiency and service delivery. Successful candidates will have a proven track record of managing complex technical teams and driving enterprise‑wide modernization projects.

• Lead the full life cycle of enterprise hardware and software solutions.
• Formulate and administer IT policies, procedures, and long‑range goals.
• Drive strategic innovation and execution across technical and business functions.
• Manage and motivate diverse technical teams, fostering collaboration and excellence.
• Prepare the organization for major technological and cultural changes, including user training and communication strategies.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.

• Enterprise Architecture:
  Design scalable IT systems aligned with long‑term strategies.
• Project & Program Management:
  Oversee large‑scale IT initiatives and budgets.

• Policy & Regulatory Knowledge:
  Understand IT laws, procurement rules, and compliance frameworks.
• Stakeholder Engagement:
  Collaborate with leadership and community partners to align IT with organizational needs.
• Leadership & Team Management:
  Guide analysts, developers, and contractors in complex projects.
• Communication & Negotiation:
  Translate technical issues into actionable recommendations for non‑technical leaders.
• Problem‑Solving & Innovation:
  Advise on emerging technologies (AI, blockchain, digital identity) to improve efficiency.

Expert Level

This is a Contract position based out of Wilmington, DE.

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
