Position OverviewBrock & Scott, PLLC is seeking an Attorney for its Bankruptcy Department, admitted to practice in both state and federal courts in North Carolina. The attorney in this role will oversee and collaborate with support staff in drafting and reviewing all documentation related to bankruptcy matters. Responsibilities include managing all aspects of the bankruptcy process, including plan confirmation, motions for relief, contested matters, adversary proceedings, and related पक्ष proceedings.
The position may require travel to courts throughout North Carolina as needed.
- Represent creditors in bankruptcy proceedings.
- Review statutorily required notices, correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents.
- Prepare and respond to written inquiries or disputes efficiently.
- Attend and argue motions and hearings before New Jersey courts.
- Participate in mediation sessions.
- Provide legal counsel to clients throughout the bankruptcy process.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.რ>
- Admission to the bar in North Carolina (State, Federal, and Bankruptcy courts) with CM/ECF filing credentials.
- Minimum 2 years experience representing creditors in bankruptcy/жды matters.
- Strong knowledge of secured creditor issues.
- Detail-oriented with excellent multitasking and prioritization skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and with senior management.
