Position: Registered Nurse (RN) PACU Wilmington Hospital Day/Evening Shift

Full-time/ Flex - 36 hours weekly

Predominantly Day/ Evening shift - can be 8s, 9s or 10 hours - no 12-hour shifts at this time. Staggered start times. With on-call responsibility, some weekends and holidays rotation per department guidelines.

The Registered Nurse selected for this position will rotate through the perioperative phases of care that comprise the Prep & Holding/ Phase II, Discharge, and PACU.

Responsibilities
  • Independent peri-anesthetic management of a diverse multifaceted surgical and procedural population.
  • Provide comprehensive care for surgical patients who may also have underlying medical and emotional problems.
  • Observe patients for the effects of anesthesia.
  • Supervise and record patient vital signs.
  • Perform post-operative tasks such as administering medication or changing dressings.
Requirements
  • BSN required or commitment to obtain within three years of hire.
  • Current RN licensure.
  • BLS required.
  • ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of hire.
  • At least 2 years of experience in one of the following areas:
    Perianesthesia Nursing, Critical Care, or HVIS.

Hourly Pay Range: $41.28 - $66.05. This pay rate/range represents Christiana Care's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
