St. Francis Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is seeking an RN to join our nursing team in the Operating Room. The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care and overseeing delegation of patient care to other healthcare team members.

• Assist scrub nurse and perform scrub duties as needed.
• Prepare OR supplies, equipment, sterile packs, and medications.
• Maintain records and ensure compliance with safety, asepsis, and the Universal Protocol.
• Proficient in Meditech and troubleshoot unit-specific equipment.
• Handle specimens, implants, and instruments per policy.
• Provide patient/family support in high‑stress settings and post‑mortem care.
• Use and update surgeon preference cards; maintain OR stock.
• Communicate with charge RN and act as resource for the surgical team.
• Assist anesthesia with intubations.

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; BSN highly preferred.
• Current DE or Compact State RN license required.
• Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) required or to be obtained during orientation.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required or to be obtained during orientation if applicable to the area of practice.
• Preferred: 2 years perioperative nursing experience or completion of a perioperative nursing course including didactic and clinical rotations.
• CNOR certification preferred.
