Our client, a world leader in life sciences and biotechnology, is looking for a
Laboratory Support Specialist based in Wilmington, MA.
Duration:
Long Term Contract(Possibility of Extension)
Pay Rate: $28.60/hr
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM EST
Company Benefits: Medical, Paid Sick leave, 401K
Key Responsibilities- Manage laboratory waste and coordinate waste pickups.
- Maintain chemical and consumables inventory, including ordering and receiving supplies.
- Perform equipment maintenance, calibration, preventive maintenance (PM), and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate shipping, receiving, customer visits, and lab coat management.
- Organize monthly lab meetings and support laboratory operations.
- Learn NGS library preparation workflows to assist with manual testing.
- Coordinate vendor visits, service contracts, and equipment/Cap Ex purchases with Procurement.
- Bachelor's degree in a science-related field is a must.
- Previous laboratory experience, experience with laboratory equipment, chemical inventory, laboratory supplies, or NGS library prep is a plus.
