IGK is looking for a chemist/customer service rep to join our research team and participate in high-level, complex research projects. We seek a qualified candidate who has an expert understanding of lab procedures. They will test chemical substances through various methods to ensure the safety, functionality, and quality of a chemical product. The chemist will also be responsible for generating comprehensive technical reports that provide insight into a project, allowing the team to devleop solutions as needed and conduct any additional tests.

- Prepare, weigh and use solutions for various laboratory procedures;
- Analyze chemical substances to identify their composition;
- Customize formulas and run tests to improve the quality of a chemical product;
- Draft detailed reports conveying experimental results and presenting findings to other scientists;
- Monitor laboratory equipment to minimize malfunctions and adhere to safety regulation;
- Customer visits for problem shooting and product research development;
- Develop and conduct tests for chemical ingredients, substances, and materials;
- Participate in high-level chemical research projects and create improved testing methods;
- Sterilize all used equipment and organize tools in safe areas;
- Use chemical substances or sources like heat and energy to produce reactions;
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in chemistry, or other relevant field;
- Strong knowledge of laboratory technology, tools and tests;
- Clear written communication skills to produce accurate lab reports;
- Solid understanding of lab health and safety regulations;
- Exceptional analytical research skills;
- Adequate computer skills;
- Experience working in a laboratory setting;
- Additional certifications relevant to region;
- Excellent time-management skills when meeting important deadlines;
- Ability to think strategically and develop effective solutions;
- Expereince in sealant manufacturing is an asset;
- Motivated and a positive attitude a must;
- Assist in customer trials;
- Ready to be available for customer site visits;
- Assist production in new product development;
