Job Description

The Analytical Chemistry will support an interdisciplinary process chemistry and engineering team focused on the scale-up and commercialization of product candidates within the Emerging Technologies organization. This role provides analytical chemistry support for organic synthesis, polymerization, and process development in a collaborative team environment. This position is 100% on-site.

Responsibilities Sample Analysis
  • Perform analytical measurements in a fast-paced environment to support R&D and pilot production of materials supplied to customers.
  • Conduct analyses for molecular weight characterization, residual monomers and solvents, identification of unknown components, and purity assessment for polymers and small molecules across multiple projects.
Lab and Equipment Operations
  • Serve as an effective and productive member of project teams, coordinating analytical measurements as needed.
  • Manage and maintain analytical laboratories, including SOP development, equipment maintenance, instrument upkeep, and safety documentation.
  • Maintain electronic lab notebooks and deliver clear, accurate analytical reports.
Safety
  • Demonstrate a strong safety track record and commitment to zero incidents/injuries.
  • Work safely with hazardous chemicals and follow all safety procedures.
  • Consistently meet project goals on aggressive timelines.
Technical Experience
  • Proficiency with analytical techniques such as:
    • HPLC, UPLC, LC-MS
    • GC, GC-MS
    • GPC
    • Karl Fischer titration, rheometry, UV-Vis spectroscopy
  • Knowledge of organic chemistry and electronic materials is a plus.
Qualifications
  • BS/MS in Chemistry with a minimum of two years of analytical experience (industrial experience preferred).
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and support multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in an R&D or pilot plant environment is a plus.
