Job ResponsibilitiesAs a Retail Visual Specialist, you will ensure the proper visual merchandising of the entire selling floor, establishing a professional and personalized rapport with coworkers and customers to provide the best customer experience.
- Partner with Store and Department managers to execute seasonal prototype presentations
- Execute departmental and store‑wide visual merchandising programs and floor moves that engage customers
- Update and maintain mannequins, forms, and presentations based on new receipts, trends, and targeted demographics
- Educate departments on Back to Basics standards, floor sets, merchandising, and wall‑scaping
- Execute cosmetics and promotional calendars
- Execute window presentations (where applicable)
- Grid fixtures/adjust accent lighting
- Order visual properties following Corporate guidelines
- Perform daily morning floor walk of the entire store to determine tasks (presentations properly maintained)
- Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and organization of the stock/work area
- Attend meetings and training sessions with Corporate Visual
- Communicate via email and complete basic paperwork
Successful candidates should have the ability and desire to actively engage customers through store‑wide visual merchandising programs.
- Experience in merchandising and styling, with knowledge of current trends
- At least 2 years of visual merchandising experience (preferably in a department store environment)
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and coworkers
- High level of professionalism, highly organized with attention to detail
- Ability to read floor plans and planograms
- Comfortable operating a computer; openness to learning new programs and systems
- Ability to work as part of a team, or independently with little supervision
