The Senior Lead Scientist, Toxicology role is based in Wilmington, DE (hybrid).Ability to travel up to 25% of the time (globally)  part of a collaborative, innovative, and purpose-driven team where together we can achieve greatness and make a real impact. Your potential is our inspiration.

Where You’ll Make a Difference
* Design, plan, and conduct laboratory and field experiments to evaluate the safety and environmental impact of new products.
* Provide expertise in ecotoxicology, environmental fate, and chemical risk assessment to support product registrations across global markets.
* Complete regulatory registration projects for health and bioscience ingredients, including exposure assessments and safety reports.
* Respond to inquiries on regulatory issues related to environmental safety and toxicology for global compliance programs.
* Develop testing strategies and plans to meet international chemical safety requirements.
* Translate complex scientific data into clear recommendations for diverse audiences.
* Monitor external toxicology studies to ensure compliance with protocols and sound scientific practices.
* Represent IFF in meetings with regulatory authorities, trade associations, and scientific working groups.
* Collaborate with internal teams to support product stewardship and innovation.

What Makes You the Right Fit
* Doctorate degree in toxicology, ecotoxicology, or a related field, with 10+ years of relevant experience.
* Strong knowledge of chemical safety, environmental risk assessment, and toxicology testing methodologies.
* Familiarity with global chemical regulations and hazard classification systems.
* Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and manage complex projects.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information clearly.
* Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience with international regulatory frameworks and product registration processes.
* Knowledge of polymer chemistry and biodegradation testing.
* Active participation in scientific associations or working groups.
