ResponsibilitiesThe selected candidate will work as an Electrical Service / UPS Installation Systems Technician for M.C. Dean’s Service & National Accounts Group, which operates 24/7, 365 days a year. This group is known for providing The Ultimate Customer Experience, offering world-class support and training, and fostering a family-oriented culture focused on customer satisfaction, quality, and safety.
This regional service position requires regular travel across the United States. Responsibilities include electrical installations of UPS systems, servicing basic electrical equipment and systems according to plans, specifications, and codes. The technician will resolve customer electrical issues professionally and safely, maintaining a professional appearance at all times.
- Assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, conduit, cable, equipment, components, and devices based on blueprints and building plans.
- Installing, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining EMS systems, smart breakers, electronic controls, devices, panels, sensors, and components.
- Inspecting installation sites and reviewing work orders, building plans, and manuals to determine material requirements and procedures.
- Testing electrical systems and circuit continuity using appropriate devices.
- Diagnosing malfunctions using test equipment and hand tools, and correcting issues.
- Training and supervising workers in electrical installation and maintenance tasks.
This position involves approximately 60% travel across the United States.
Qualifications- High school diploma or GED with at least 6+ years of experience in the electrical service industry, including UPS system installation.
- Passing a background check and drug test.
- Possessing an acceptable driving record, with ongoing or intermittent use of a company vehicle.
- Excellent knowledge of electrical tools and testing equipment.
- Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and web applications.
- Committed to high-quality work and safety standards.
- Wearing OSHA-approved clothing, including pants and shirts covering shoulders.
- Punctuality and teamwork skills.
- Journeyman's license or equivalent.
- Additional certifications like Lift and Aerial Training, NFPA 70E, OSHA 30, UPS installation experience.
