Responsibilities

The selected candidate will work as an Electrical Service / UPS Installation Systems Technician for M.C. Dean’s Service & National Accounts Group. This group operates 24/7 - 365 to support our customers and is known for providing the best customer experience. We offer world-class support and training, fostering a family-oriented culture focused on customer satisfaction, quality, and safety.

This regional service position requires regular travel across the United States. Responsibilities include electrical installations of UPS systems, servicing basic electrical equipment and systems according to plans, specifications, and codes. The technician will resolve customer electrical issues professionally and safely, maintaining a clean and professional appearance at all times.

• Assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, conduit, cable, equipment, components, and devices following blueprints and plans.
• Installing, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining EMS systems, smart breakers, electronic controls, panels, sensors, and components.
• Inspecting sites and studying work orders, plans, and manuals to determine materials and procedures.
• Testing electrical systems and circuit continuity.
• Diagnosing malfunctions using test equipment and tools, locating causes, and correcting issues.
• Training and directing workers on installation, maintenance, or repair tasks.

This position requires 60% travel across the U.S.

Qualifications

• HS diploma/GED with at least 8+ years of experience in the electrical service industry, including UPS system installation.

Candidate Expectations:

• Successful background check and drug test.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Excellent knowledge of electrical tools and testing equipment.
• Proficiency with smart devices and web applications.
• Commitment to high-quality work and safety standards.
• Proper attire including OSHA-approved boots and shirts covering shoulders.
• Punctuality, teamwork, and safety consciousness.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Journeyman’s license or equivalent.
• Additional certifications (e.g., Lift and Aerial Training, NFPA 70E, OSHA 30).
• Experience with UPS installation.
