HVAC Field Diagnostics Specialist

About the Role As an HVAC Field Diagnostics Specialist, your day begins with a service call in Wilmington and might wrap up after commissioning a controls upgrade in King of Prussia. You’ll own the startup and service of systems that heat, cool, ventilate, dehumidify, and manage energy—bringing complex equipment online and keeping it running at peak performance for customers across the Wilmington/Philadelphia/King of Prussia/ South NJ areas.

What You’ll DoEvery day looks a little different, but you can expect to:

Diagnose and repair sophisticated HVAC equipment and control systems, leveraging deep knowledge of electronic and digital controls; test, service, and maintain these systems with precision.

Recommend retrofits, system upgrades, and performance enhancements; partner with sales by offering technical guidance on qualified leads.

Coordinate field activities with the Service Manager, Project Managers, and subcontractors to keep work moving smoothly.

Create clear sketches of field modifications and discrepancies for engineering updates; support job layouts and contribute to bid proposals when needed.

Conduct mechanical startups; configure controllers; train customers on HVAC equipment and controls; complete all manufacturer documentation and BSS job-specific paperwork and submit it to the office.

Navigate manufacturer and vendor websites/catalogs to locate technical documents and replacement part numbers; advise customers on suitable substitutions or modifications for parts.

What You Bring High School Diploma or equivalent.
5+ years of progressive HVAC service experience.

Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-first mindset, representing the company with professionalism and integrity.

Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.

Ability to operate a fork truck.

EPA Refrigeration License.

Valid driver's license.

HVAC Journeyman Certificate (preferred).NATE certification (preferred).Where You’ll Work Field-based across Wilmington/Philadelphia/King of Prussia/ South NJ areas.

Compensation Estimated Salary: $35 hourly - $55 hourly depending on experience
