Base pay range$16.00/hr - $19.00/hr
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a reliable and dedicated Parts Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting automotive parts to customers, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. This role requires excellent customer service skills, the ability to handle parts safely, and knowledge of local routes. This individual will work as a counter person as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Safely operate a company vehicle to deliver parts to designated locations, ensuring deliveries are made in a timely manner.
- Load and unload parts carefully to prevent damage.
- Verify the accuracy of delivery orders and paperwork.
- Maintain records of deliveries and customer interactions.
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring that customers receive parts in good condition and on time.
- Assist with inventory organization as needed.
- Ensure that the vehicle is properly maintained and report any issues promptly.
- Follow safety protocols and traffic laws while driving.
- Cover parts counterman responsibilities as job needs.
- Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish.
- Work with parts manager to locate any parts not in stock.
- Complete special order part request for the customer.
- Communicate with customer on parts status.
- Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Must follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations applicable to industry.
- Must be at least 18 years old, have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and have 2 years of driving experience.
- Previous delivery driving experience (preferred).
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Familiarity with local roads and areas.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
